The “New” True North Building opened Labor Day weekend, August 2024.
The building was previously a nursing home, which remained vacant for more than twenty years. True North has breathed a new life into the building. It doesn’t even feel like the same space.
As a nod to the building’s history, each room on the first floor is named after a person who “could’ve” lived there. Daisy, Inez, Roxy and Butch. It helps you find your way as you worm through the maze of rooms, pass throughs (formerly known as bathrooms), closets, and even a Blood Room. This is an antique store unlike any place you’ve ever explored.
If 11,000 square feet wasn’t enough space, we’ve added Next Page Book Store, Curious Kids Clubhouse and, on May 10, 2025, will be opening the second floor of the building, called North Avenue.
Shoppers often plan to spend the day at True North. They will explore Building One, grab lunch at The Hideout 2, then spend the afternoon exploring True North: Building Two.
This building has a beautiful backyard too. You can shop for outdoor gardening plants and props, enjoy a pretzel while relaxing outside, kiss on the Kissing Bench, or attend a club meeting… all in the backyard.
